A frame with a panto-geometric cut and a marked modernist influence. Its high, pronounced bridge is designed to distribute the weight evenly.
Made of high-density Mazzucchelli acetate, the Origen frame incorporates horizontal metal rivets that work as minimal structural accents. The temples carry the collection name engraved in gold characters, the architect's signature and the serial number that certifies this limited edition.
As a distinguishing mark, the temple tip shows the emblematic X, a constant element in Ramírez Vázquez's architectural language. This visual synthesis stands for the union of the cardinal points and cultural mestizaje, projecting the identity of Mexico to the world through geometry.
The design draws on one of the most emblematic frames Ramírez Vázquez wore during the 1960s. That was one of his most prolific periods, marked by the building of the National Museum of Anthropology, the construction of the Estadio Azteca and the creation of the visual identity for the Mexico 68 Olympic Games.
