On a pedestrian street in the Centro, near the old convent of La Merced, there is a small plaza where — so the story goes — the Mexica saw the eagle on the cactus. Plaza de la Aguilita is more foundational than the Zócalo and far less grandiose.
The frame answers with that same restraint at a large scale: a square design with thick edges in Mazzucchelli acetate with a Japanese titanium core, and a defined silhouette that lifts subtly toward the temples. The gesture is there, but it is slight.
