The Altar a la Patria guards the entrance to Chapultepec: a hemicycle of straight columns set in a semicircle, marble shafts holding up an idea rather than a roof. Curve and straight line resolving the same piece.
The frame repeats that combination. A round front with hexagonal upper edges, in thick and highly durable acetate: the curve below, the straight line above, neither giving way. Triple-barrel hinges.
Designed in Mexico and handmade in Japan by artisans devoted to making frames of excellent quality. Also available as sunglasses.
