Bonampak means “painted wall” in Maya. Inside the Temple of the Murals, in the Lacandon Jungle, are the best-preserved murals of the Maya world: scenes that forced a correction to the idea of a civilization devoted only to contemplating the stars.
The frame takes up that idea of a surface that keeps things: a round shape in thick acetate, with double-point rivets on the temples and triple-barrel hinges. Reinforced construction at every point of tension.
