Calmécac takes its name from the Mexica institution devoted to intellectual, political and ritual training: a place of discipline, knowledge and precision. The frame translates that idea into a wide, emphatic rectangular front, with firm lines that frame the face without turning loud.
Made of Mazzucchelli acetate, it has a sober, architectural presence: a thick front, a defined bridge and broad temples with gold engraving on the inside. An eyeglass frame for anyone looking for character without decoration.
Designed in Mexico and handmade in Japan, Calmécac is part of a serialized edition of 150 pieces. Each pair carries internal engraving with its serial number, size and color, reinforcing its character as both a functional object and a collectible.
